Will There Be A Surge In The World In Women’s NFTs In 2023?

The NFT industry has often been misjudged as a ‘male-dominated’ sector. However, that’s not true. Today, we have several women-designed NFT projects sitting at the top of the industry’s charts and shaping the future of Web 3.0.

Gone are the days when we’d only see the charts dominated by male artists. Today we have women artists whose NFT collections are already crossing the million-dollar mark in sales. Overall, 2022 has been a year of innovation for she/her.

But what if we told you that this is just the beginning?

Yes, you read it right! Women-based NFT collections are the future of the industry. Besides, while they’re already booming amidst this bearish market, these digital art collections go beyond the money initiative.

So continue reading as we try to analyze the current market situation and understand whether there will be a surge in women NFTs in 2023. Let’s check it out in the following sections of this blog.

NFTs In 2022: Recap Of Their Performance

Looking at the overall NFT industry in 2022, it’s evident that digital art pieces failed to meet expert analysts’ expectations. This is primarily due to the bearish crypto trends that started earlier this year and the buyers looking for utility in their purchases.

However, even amidst this volatile crypto market, a few positive movements indicate an optimistic market approach. With the introduction of Web 3.0 and the Metaverse, NFTs have seen new utility in the real world. Today, these digital art pieces are used for ticketing, loyalty programs, in-game rewards, and Meta applications.

How 2022 Was For Women-Based NFTs?

Women-oriented NFTs are the latest trend dominating the digital arts industry. While the investment and money aspect is there, many of these NFTs are being used to repurpose the use of their art. In addition, these artists use their NFTs to create a more inclusive and diverse space in Web 3.0, crypto, and Blockchain.

Besides, with projects like World of Women NFT, WomenRise, and Boss Beauties, the industry is expanding and diversifying, adding new utilities and use cases.

Overall, while the reception for NFTs has been varying, it’s safe to say that digital art is still in its infancy.

Will NFTs Be Dominating In 2023?

While 2022 has not been bullish for the NFT industry or touched new heights in sales, its adoption still grew. The marketplace registered millions of new crypto wallets across different platforms. With the millennial and Gen-Z population taking over the NFT space, there was a relative development even amidst the stopping sales.

However, things look positive for the year ahead. With the market being in a bullish phase for the better part of the year, every project (crypto and NFT) is at its new low, giving a possible entry to investors. So with new investments being injected into the industry, there is a better possibility of recovery and stability of the markets by 2023.

For the next few months of 2023, however, the market might continue to bear the impact and revise its price movements. So, overall, while there might be some hurdles to the market movement, 2023 is expected to be a great year for NFT arts. Adding to it, with the promising boom in women-led NFT arts, we expect a surge of 5-10% of the market by the end of 2023.

So if you’re all set and want to leverage the opportunity, let’s check out some women-led NFTs you might want to invest in for 2023.

Women-Led NFTs To Watch Out For In 2023

  1. World of Women (WoW)

First on our list of NFT collections to watch out for is ‘The World of Women’ or the WoW project. Similar to other premier collections, this one also features 10,000 diverse, unique, and powerful women avatars who take pride in positively impacting and helping people, especially in the NFT space.

Released on July 27th, 2021, it was originally launched at a floor price of 0.07 ETH or $225 per NFT. However, fast forward to 2022, and the collection has generated over $40 million, with the digital art selling for thousands of dollars.

Overall, the NFT world of women is a promising project that you must look forward to for 2023.

  1. Boss Beauties

Lisa Mayer is the founder of Boos Beauties, an autonomous women-led NFT collection with 10,000 distinct and powerful digital art pieces. The artists behind the project have been involved in women’s empowerment for over a decade.

The collection intends to educate and empower future women and girls.

With a total of $162,182 ETH, this NFT collection holds the 65th rank and has made a name among investors for its soaring prices. Besides, the collection has 5,400 owners and has exchanged 11,000 in ETH, making it a potential project for 2023.

  1. WomenRise

The WomenRise NFT is a collection of 10,000 original works of art developed from 453 hand-drawn qualities honoring women in arts, science, programming, and activism, among other fields.

The creator and artist behind this project claim that her initiative is beyond the money. It’s a movement to advance women’s rights and girls’ education. Adding to it, WomenRise also claims to build a school in the metaverse for the global 258 million children who lack access to education.

The immensely successful NFT project is also trending across leading exchanges like Rarible, where it has successfully capped 6 million in sales.

  1. Women and Weapons (WAW)

The Women and Weapons, or the ‘WAW’ NFT project, is another great women-led initiative in the crypto space. This collection of 10,000 hand-drawn portraits of powerful and attractive women is inspired by mid-20th century women, a time when women were not considered to be in charge.

A unique aspect of this collection is that the artist Sara Baumann has added over 200 additional features to her artwork in the series. The daring NFT concept was unveiled on October 2021, and the 10,000-piece inaugural art collection was sold on the first day.

So, while the entries to WAW may have been limited, for now, keep looking for more updates on the project. It has the potential to make it big in 2023.

  1. Alpha Girl Club

The Alpha Girl Club, or the ‘AGC’ is another potential project in the women-led NFT space. The now sold-out collection is a set of 10,000 hand-illustrated alpha female’s in the form of an NFT art.

The vibrant collection adds life with its eye-catching color scheme, themes, and qualities. Besides, its central idea of introducing NFTs in the real world makes this project unique.

Adding more to it is the utility received by the AGC holders. Community members or collectors of the NFT get access to several IRL (in real life) experiences, airdrops, and events, where they may receive gifts and collectibles.

When you buy an Alpha Girls Club NFT, you get access to an unlimited mental health app developed by the team. The application provides the following:

  • Regular check-ins.
  • Access to mental health professionals.
  • Unique content to ease your day.

The Future Is Her’s

The future for women-led NFT initiatives is appealing. Adding to it is that these digital art pieces aren’t only looking for fame but trying to add the missing ‘utility’ factor to their buyer’s purchase. So if you were to ask us, there’d be a surge in women-based NFTs in 2023 and beyond.
